Mrs. Michelle Berra graduated with a B.M from James Madison University, Virginia with a concentration in general/vocal music and piano in 2001. While teaching music in Fairfax County, Virginia, Mrs. Berra earned her Masters of Music with a concentration in Music Education (MME) from George Mason University. In 2006, she graduated with the award of Outstanding Graduate in the MME program and attained Orff Schulwerk Certification, Level III. Mrs. Berra moved to Miami from the greater Washington D.C. Metro area in the summer of 2006. In Miami, Mrs. Berra enjoyed leading many professional development workshops in music education, arts integration, and the Orff Schulwerk process. She also served as a guest conductor for local choral events. Ms. Berra was a member of the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards Writing Team and a former President of the South Florida Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association. She is a recipient of the Yale Distinguished Music Educator Award for 2011. Ms. Berra currently teaches music and choir at Stuttgart Elementary School in Stuttgart, Germany and enjoys traveling and eating her way through Europe.
